Client is a $200M media company. About 1/4 of that revenue is generated through web sales.
They are seeking a strong project manager for their e-commerce group, who will also take PM responsiblity for subscription web communities and shared services groups as projects emerge.
Must have web/e-commerce project management experience (will not consider a candidate without this) Should have media production project management experience - could be from a vendor that implemented front end systems for media companies.
Must have an track record of using project management principals in the management of projects - in other words, someone who understands PMI without necessarily having a PMI.
This person will be responsible for creating the past project performance databases, will be responsible for managing and reporting on milestones, coordinating projects locally and with the back office development team in Colorado, and for creating project plans, and working them through.
Must have flexibility to travel occasionally to corporate.
Salary, depending on experience to $125000.
Candidates local to the metro NYC area preferred.
